For a small list of pointers on placing an order with
Fantasy Props scroll to the bottom of the page.

No prices are listed on the site. Everything here is custom made and individually priced. If you do not see an item here just ask for a quote. Below is a short list of frequently askd questions.

Q: Do you make real metal swords?
A: Nope. My stuff is all wood and fibergalss. They just look like metal because of the paintjobs. I don't work with metal because I just don't have the tools.... yet!

Q: How long will it take to get my item?
A: Time varies. If you have a convention or due date please let me know. I'll do my best to work with you.

Q: Do you require a down payment?
A: Yes. On small castable items like pendants I ask for everything up front because they take little time or material to make. On items that are larger I ask for a minimum of 1/4 the prop price as a down payment.

Q: Do you accept Paypal?
A: YES. Love it. I also accept cash, check, money order and in some cases trades. I even accept Revolution Money Exchange. But NOT currently accepting credit cards.

Q: Do you make full suits of armor?
A: I can. But making full suits of armor is time consuming and therefore expensive.

Q: Can I get a prop for less than the original quote?
A: Possibly. There is usually more than one way to skin a cat.... and build a prop.

Q: Do you ship Internationally?
A: Yes. If you have a post office I can ship it to you.

Q: Are these items "Convention-Safe"?
A: Usually they are since they are not real metal. But it's your responsibility to check your cons regulations regarding props.

Q: Do you offer any other services besides prop-making?
A: Yes. I can illustrate with pen, pencil and paint. I also do wood carvings.

Q: Do you sew?
A: Cloth is not my strong skill, but I can do small bits.

Q: Can you fix a damaged prop made by someone else?
A: Sure.

Q: How big or small can the prop be?
A: Size is up to you. The items I usually make range from pendants up to 8 foot long swords. I can make larger items but need time to research shipping costs.

Q: Do you have any kind of prop guarantee?
A: Sort of. I try to make sure a customer understands what the prop is likely to stand up to so it's not necessary. If my prop breaks in the mail or something happens to it and you can't fix it I will usually fix it free if you just pay for shipping.

Already have a price quote and ready to place an order?

Here's a handy list of things I might need to know. Keep in mind that when you ask for a quote I only know you by your email nickname. It can be hard to keep track of all my customers this way. So AFTER you get a quoted price on an item and you are ready to make a payment take a minute to give me all your relevant information. You can provide this info in the note section of your Paypal payment or in a short written note if you pay via snail mail.

1. Name
2. Name(s) of the prop (if applicable)
3. Name(s) of the character that uses the prop (if applicable)
4. Name of anime, manga, game or series the prop is from (if applicable)
5. Due date or convention date you need the prop by
6. Total quoted price
7. List any customizations that we discussed. Example: color changes.
8. Return shipping address

Payment Options:

Paypal is great. I also accept cash, checks, money order, Revolution Money Exchange, or in some rare cases trades.
